The Global Outreach Liaison, China will act as the primary contact between IMG Academy's Chinese population and all aspects of IMG Academy.

This role involves fostering strong relationships, ensuring effective communication, and facilitating collaboration amongst other departments on campus to enhance the on-campus experience of current student-athletes and campers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Global team in the China office to identify and determine customer needs and expectations while making expert recommendations to maximize the customers on campus experience.
  • Facilitate Boarding School Reenrollment and own the overall retention process for Boarding School and Camp.
  • Assist families through the Boarding School and Camp onboarding journey, including the full completion of the Health & Registration forms.
  • Support Chinese customers through the entire checkin process, which may occur any day, including weekends and any time such as late at night.
  • Properly and effectively use the necessary CRM software to track pipeline, arrival reports, new enrollment, scheduled followups and record pertinent notes for each customer.
  • Guide Chinese customers and their parents for campus tours, cultural adjustments, language barriers and help them for any possible daily needs.
  • Help Chinese customers and their parents communicate with coaches and experts, and educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of camp programs.
  • Maintain close relationship with Sport Directors and Camp Directors to generate beneficial outcomes for both the student, camper and IMG Academy.
  • Provide support and cover for other advisors including tours with prospective families, teams, groups and at times language translations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized contact list for all Chinese customers.
  • Provide customer service for Chinese students to own and support Boarding School reenrollment journey.
  • Communicate with residential mentors, coaches, teachers, and all other related staff members and ensure that necessary information is relayed to Chinese students and their families.
  • Work with the Student Engagement department to coordinate Chinese cultural activities.
  • Communicate with other departments to understand current and upcoming events and the associated needs to communicate properly to Chinese parents.
  • Assist Student Life leadership with incident reports involving Chinese students in investigation, interviewing, and reporting to the family members.
  • Assist in certain emergencies such as medical situations, hurricane evacuation, fire, etc.
  • Build Chinese community for parents by creating WeChat communication channels, weekly updates, Chinese cultural events and identify Chinese Influencer parents for further recommendations.
  • Create Chinese WeChat Account and provide daily updates with pictures and videos from current enrolled students.
  • Identify new opportunities for business development designed to increase Academy program enrollment.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of IMG Academy campus.
  • Responsible for collecting customers' feedback and sharing it with appropriate team members weekly.
  • Manage time effectively, working effectively with other members of the advisor team if needed
  • Supporting peers, as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Marketing, Sports Marketing, Sports Management, or related business majors preferred
  • 01 years of sales experience preferred
  • General knowledge of sports and athletics
  • Experience with MS Office and Excel
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Bilingual-Chinese and English
Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable time.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
