POSITION OVERVIEW: The Grants Management and Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in guiding and managing programs supported by various funding sources, including federal, state, and private entities. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial management of grants, ensuring that program personnel meet established goals and adhere to compliance standards. The Specialist collaborates closely with Deans, Directors, Faculty, and Staff to enhance academic programs, uphold quality assurance, and promote institutional effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure adherence to grantor guidelines and regulations
  • Supervise financial management and reporting processes
  • Serve as a liaison between Administration and various departments
  • Coordinate grant-related initiatives and assess fiscal procedures
  • Monitor compliance of programs with grant requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and budgets
  • Input and review data related to federal grants
  • Organize staffing for grant-related activities
  • Conduct training sessions focused on data collection and reporting
  • Engage in institutional fundraising and community outreach
  • Participate in scholarly initiatives to enhance student learning experiences
  • Carry out additional assigned responsibilities as needed

REQUIREMENTS: A Master's degree in accounting or finance is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in managing governmental or federal grants. Familiarity with funding sources such as HRSA, NIH, NSF, or PCORI is essential. Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and technical skills are necessary for success in this role.
