Summary:

Meta is looking for a proactive leader with strong technical and operational skills to join the Edge & Network Service (ENS) Operations team. As part of this role, you will manage a group of vendors and drive efforts to enhance reliability, efficiency, and risk management in a highly dynamic network environment. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to solving operational issues by implementing technical and business solutions through network engineering leadership, automation, process enhancement, and data analysis. This position involves collaboration with various teams to address both immediate challenges and long-term projects.

Required Skills:

  • Technical Leadership: Offer expert guidance to tackle operational issues across edge and backbone architectures and vendor performance.
  • Operational Excellence and Team Leadership: Develop strategies for operational improvement and manage a workforce responsible for project delivery and recurring tasks.
  • Incident Response: Investigate technical issues during major incidents on a global scale and collaborate with different teams and vendors for resolution.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Support internal stakeholders, participate in design reviews, and recommend operational strategies.
  • Risk Management and Assurance: Ensure compliance with reliability, security, and privacy standards.
  • Escalation Management: Contribute to escalation procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Change Management: Identify and implement solutions across diverse infrastructure teams to scale operations.
  • Travel: Some international and domestic travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in global edge network operations and infrastructure.
  • Experience with a variety of network hardware platforms and architectures.
  • Troubleshooting skills and understanding of physical infrastructure components.
  • Expertise in CDN and Edge technologies and network protocols.
  • Collaborative experience across different teams and leadership levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in a global Network Operations Center.
  • Proficiency in coding and automation using languages like Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining network monitoring systems.
  • Ability to apply data analytics and machine learning for problem-solving.

Public Compensation:

$161,000/year to $225,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
