We are looking for a highly motivated Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

This salary position will report to an IT Manager.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leads design, configuration and administration of all network infrastructure.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from threats and vulnerabilities.
Perform preventative network maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of network systems.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in networking.
Configure, monitor, and optimize network settings to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
Evaluate current infrastructure and recommend "best practices" for improvements.
Configure, install and troubleshoot network technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls.
Troubleshoot voice systems, phones, and network protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP).
Create and maintain documentation including diagrams, configurations, policies and procedures.
Assist in the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Prioritize workload alongside internal Technical Support Specialists.
Engage with external consultants and vendors as required.
Drive network standards and provide feedback to the Network Team.
Provide after-hours On-Call support as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,

AND ABILITIES:
Understanding of Network Access Control (NAC), Radius, 802.1x, AD, LDAP, DNS.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs).
Proficiency in network security principles and technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies is advantageous.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or other network hardware and software.
Certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP, NSE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for extended periods within an office environment.
Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
