Compensation and Schedule for the HR Generalist
HR Generalist - Full-time, onsite, $21-$25 per hour, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a fast-paced team with great benefits
Required Qualifications of the HR Generalist
- 2+ years of recent HR generalist experience required
- 5+ years of recent HR generalist experience preferred
- Excel experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Job Summary for the HR Generalist
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department and ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are followed including onboarding/offboarding, all employee benefit programs, and general human resource matters.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and prescreening/interviewing potential candidates
- Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding
- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and PTO time
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Process and administer all leave-of absence requests and disability paperwork
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist with retention of employees and strategies to motivate employees
- Manage Company's employee database and prepare KPI reports
- Draft official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips, and warning letters
- Work with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain all Company locations with the necessary items
- Stay up to date with HR trends and best practices
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager
