Program Therapist - Intensive Outpatient Program (OCD)

About the Position:


This role involves working closely with a team under the guidance of the Program Manager and Program Unit Chief. The main responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of psychosocial issues using cognitive-behavioral interventions to support patients and their families in overcoming personal and environmental challenges related to psychiatric conditions, enabling them to reach optimal psychosocial well-being.

Emphasizing ethical conduct and collaboration to enhance the quality of care and foster positive relationships within the department and program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete Initial Psychiatric and Behavioral evaluations assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations to gather relevant history, stressors, and treatment diagnosis.
  • Develop personalized behavioral treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based cognitive-behavioral interventions.
  • Facilitate exposure-based group CBT sessions.
  • Lead family consultation meetings.
  • Monitor patient progress throughout treatment.
  • Run exposure-based cognitive behavioral aftercare groups.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
  • Provide updates to attending physicians and psychologists regarding patient acuity levels.
  • Advocate for patient needs within and outside the department.
  • Offer consultation for continuity of care.
  • Engage in community outreach and assist in triaging referrals.

Requirements:
  • Education: Masters Degree or higher.
  • Licensure: Active license required, independent license preferred.
  • Training and Experience: Prior experience in a psychiatric setting. Proficiency in exposure-based CBT, especially with OCD, anxiety, hoarding, or relevant continuing education/in-service training. Competence in providing group and individual psychotherapy.
