Specific ResponsibilitiesThe Aviation Mechanic Supervisor for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Aviation department at the company's Houston Hanger located at IAH reporting to the Chief Pilot.

The Aviation Mechanic Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all company operated aircraft are maintained in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Planning, forecasting, and controlling all aircraft maintenance. Coordinating those activities with the Chief Pilot and Aviation Scheduler / Dispatcher. Supervising and evaluating Aviation Maintenance Department personnel. Assist the Chief Pilot with managing functions which have an impact on operational control (e.g. maintenance, equipment scheduling, equipment acquisition and disposition). Preparing budgets. Providing maintenance data to the Chief Pilot for use in quarterly reports to upper management. Monitor all non-company persons or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO's) performing maintenance on company aircraft. Ensure aircraft maintenance records required by State and/or aircraft manufacturer are established and maintained. Ensure that Airworthiness Directives and Service bulletins the effect company operated aircraft are complied with. Remove from service any company aircraft that are unsafe or do not comply with national regulatory requirements. Actively participate in the department Safety Management System (SMS). Oversee the development of SMS maintenance elements and demonstrate an advanced leadership role. Maintain the Maintenance Sections / Chapters of the company Aviation Operations Manuals. Developing and maintaining operational standards for all aircraft maintenance.


Qualifications & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree 10 years' experience in aviation maintenance with a minimum of 5 years in corporate aviation Demonstrates knowledge of the implementation and direction of the maintenance and control systems for company operated aircraft Demonstrates knowledge of the national regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance Possess excellent interpersonal and cognitive skills.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has gained an expert level of knowledge through years of experience and continuous education. Leaned upon by others as a source of reference for their decisions. Always learning and is willing to share their knowledge and experience with others.

Prior experience working on Gulfstream aircraft (or the current manufacturer of company operated aircraft) Advanced knowledge level of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as they pertain to aircraft maintenance Experienced with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory compliance Experienced managing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) concerns Experience and proficiency with industry specific software tools, CMP or equivalent Completion of numerous initial and recurrent aircraft maintenance specific training programs designed specifically for corporate flight department operations.

Completed other advanced training programs that are non-aircraft maintenance specific.

FAA Airframe and Powerplant with Inspection Authorization or Military equivalent Valid passport allowing entry and exit of destinations where company flies.
