By joining Woodforest you will become a part of one of the largest employee-owned banks in the countryThe Commercial Banking Relationship Manager III is responsible for developing and managing a diversified banking products and services portfolio.
This includes identifying and marketing lending opportunities, coordinating and participating in loan structuring, underwriting, origination, servicing, and engaging in full cycle relationship management and cross selling cash management, merchant, and wealth management opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies business development opportunities with prospects or current customers; markets and provides counsel on the Bank's credit and cash management products and services.
- Responsible for sourcing and independently generating all new business.
- Serves as Relationship Manager by providing ongoing customer service support and guidance to existing and new clients and client decision makers; maintains uptodate client files, manages renewals, and processes servicing requests such as collecting past due payments, exception clearing, responding to information inquiries and facilitating transfer and draw requests.
- Maintains current and in depth knowledge on banking and lending products, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, as well as market and industry activities and trends.
- Excellent external and internal customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to convey a positive attitude and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and salesmanship.
- Ability to lead by example and mentor others.
- Excellent sales, negotiating and implementation skills
- Advanced ability to effectively promote all bank products and services. Consistently proven record as a sales leader.
- Proven ability to deliver relationship based solutions to clients, evidenced by strong client retention and repeat business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to discern credit quality.
- Demonstrated creativity in deal structuring and domain expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective sales acumen.
- Strong practical knowledge of commercial banking and lending products, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and market trends.
- Developed critical thinking and decision making skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial and credit information.
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage workload and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- 813 years commercial lending experience required
- Formal credit training preferred
- Bank portfolio management experience required including proficient knowledge of cash/treasury management products and services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Accounting or related field or equivalent amount of related experience preferred.
- Full-Time.
- 02 direct reports.
- Up to 10% travel is expected, with more travel possible depending on clients.
- Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, folders, etc.
