We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time role as a Senior Sales Executive to join the vibrant sales team at UPMC Health Plan. This position comes with the exciting responsibility of managing broker sales for a specific market segment, as well as overseeing all direct sales within assigned territories and market segment.

The perfect candidate will showcase previous sales experience in the broker community and a solid track record of sales accomplishments. This role is a blend of both office and field work, requiring attendance at the office for three days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan
- Keep the individual book of business updated and well-maintained
- Mentor Mid-Market Sales Executives to enhance team performance
- Collaborate with Broker relations to provide detailed reports to assigned Brokerage Houses on a quarterly basis, covering various aspects such as quote requests, sold and close percentages, disenrollment rates, book profitability, and issue logs
- Provide necessary reports to Management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Review quotes from U/W for accuracy and suitability in the market segment
- Gather and document competitive information effectively
- Play an active role in delivering key communications and priorities
- Prospecting and direct selling of business


- Manage group implementation transitions to GEF coordinators, ensuring the assignment of account managers for designated accounts
- Utilize Salesforce as a sales tool
- Improve the overall standing of assigned brokerage houses
- Contribute to the development of Corporate and Department policies and procedures
- Actively engage in internal meetings to provide feedback for enhancing product offerings and processes
- Adopt a consultative sales approach emphasizing the value proposition over pricing
- Assist assigned Brokers in market segment sales and oversee the sales process
- Lead negotiations with underwriting to achieve favorable outcomes and drive profitable memberships
- Sell and preserve the book of business in all directly assigned territories
- Establish and maintain credibility within the market
- Meet or exceed sales quotas
- Evaluate rate requests in the market segment, develop sales strategies, and execute on those strategies
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience is a must
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in Healthcare sales and/or account management required
- Residing in the Pittsburgh, PA area with familiarity of the Pgh market is advantageous
- Possession of a current PA Health and Accident License highly desirable
- Profound understanding of self-funding concepts
- Demonstrated leadership skills crucial for team success
- Proficiency in mentoring internal and external resources, especially in selling Mid-market accounts
- Ability to build and maintain credibility in the market
- Experience in financial analysis related to Underwriting
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Capable of multitasking and working both independently and in a team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and receptive to direction from Management
- Aspiration for continued advancement within the organization

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- PA Health and Accident License required within 90 days of hiring
- Insurance Sales License certification
