We are hiring a Human Resources Consultant to join our expanding organization, working out of our US corporate office in north, central Phoenix.


This individual will provide HR support to our growing US workforce of 550+ employees, in areas including benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations, and employee programs.

What you'd be responsible for

Build relationships with employees and management to serve as a trusted advisor on a variety of HR matters, while positively influencing the work environment.

Benefit administration including, benefit system management, assisting employees with new hire benefit enrollment, inquiries and benefit issues, Qualifying Life Events while also supporting benefit orientation and open enrollment sessions.

Leave administration including FMLA, ADA, Disability, and Worker's Compensation
Provide employee relations support to managers including advising on employee counseling, discipline and other actions.

Administrative tasks including developing strategy-focused communication for the company, creating and managing various HR documents, and updating the internal database with digital personnel records of relevant employee information.

Assist with annual pay increase cycle and performance appraisal program.

Support Talent Development and Talent Management activities supporting EPCOR's talent pool and employee growth and development, including employee debriefs on assessment tools.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and agencies.
Assist in development and implementation of employee policies and procedures.

As part of the HR Team, support employee projects and committees to develop programs to help employees feel fully engaged and valued such as; the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, Wellness program, and other initiatives.

As required on an occasional basis, may provide support to the Talent Acquisition Team to administer and coordinate the hiring process including recruiting, selection and screening, developing interview questions, offer development and negotiation, and supporting hiring managers throughout the hiring process.

Support at facilities in the Phoenix metro area, as well as occasional overnight travel to other locations in Arizona, New Mexico to support assigned client portfolio.

What's required to be successful
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience in recruiting, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Working knowledge of all HR areas including employment and labor laws, EEO, HIPPA, FMLA, STD/LTD, ADA, Workers Comp, training, and employee relations.

Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and related software.
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation, pivot tables, v-look ups, reporting to support HR functions. Oracle experience desirable.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
