We are currently seeking a Indirect Lending Business Development Representative to join our Indirect Lending team in the Southern market. You will be responsible for performing a broad variety of services related to consumer and indirect lending and all related products and services. You will process, approve, and decline loan applications for our Indirect Lending Department, and back up our Consumer Lending group as needed. You work closely with dealerships that have established an Indirect Lending relationship with the Credit Union.
To thrive in this role, you should have five to eight years of similar or related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. This position is one part relationship building and one part administrative work. This might be the role for you if you enjoy work requiring attention to detail, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teamwork.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Reviews indirect loans submitted to the credit union, both in the office and in the field; Decision loan applications within lending authority; Communicates decisions with dealership and with internal parties as necessary.
- Professionally assists and serves dealers and Credit Union members.
- Experience in acquiring and managing business relationships in a Credit Union or Financial institution.
- Experience in indirect underwriting with a proven track record in providing dealers with superior customer service.
- Experience in consumer underwriting in a credit union environment.
- Efficiency and accuracy, as well as professionalism in communication are vital to the successful execution of this position.
- Proven track record of financial sales success and demonstrated ability to build a portfolio through strong business development skills and external client acquisition.
- Must be experienced with all Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as internal processing systems.
- Position will include external business development, and may include weekend and/or extended hours.
