The Principal Product Manager – Technical will be responsible for product strategy and execution within the Alexa Subscriptions Growth (ASG) team.

At Alexa, we are focused on building the world's best personal assistant, leveraging the latest advancements in Generative AI technologies.

The role sits at a critical interaction between our product, tech, design and marketing teams.

This role will be obsessed over inventing best-in-class AI customer experiences, helping customers seamlessly discover and sign up for subscriptions on any owned and operated (O&O) surface (including on-site, on-device, and companion apps), offering personalized recommendations and engagement to help customers continually unlock value, and enabling customers to purchase the right device/subscription combinations for their needs.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the development of the consumer-focused product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis
Define creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on customer learnings, team strategy and vision
Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and software architecture
Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Partner with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market
Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

A successful candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers. They will be adept at leveraging new and existing technologies to uniquely solve customer problems.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
Experience with end to end product delivery

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders

The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
