As a Principal Product Manager within Amazon's Consumer Robotics team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap, taking full ownership of essential features and the overall customer experience. This position is inherently collaborative, requiring close cooperation with engineering, design, marketing, user research, finance, and executive teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch groundbreaking products.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and analytical prowess, excelling in a matrixed organization, and adept at synthesizing diverse technologies and capabilities into beloved products and applications. We seek an individual who is customer-focused and technologically proficient, with a proven history of delivering successful consumer products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the complete product lifecycle from conception to launch.
  2. Lead the formulation of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan for your product domains.
  3. Act as a dedicated advocate for the customer; comprehend and articulate customer requirements, conduct ongoing research, leverage internal insights, and prioritize market demands.
  4. Motivate the team with a compelling product vision, collaborating cross-functionally to realize that vision.
  5. Draft requirements documents, define use cases and customer experiences, and manage the business metrics and KPIs for your products and services.
  6. Facilitate product launches, coordinating with public relations, marketing, executives, and other product management colleagues.
  7. Serve as the product authority, supporting marketing with press briefings, industry presentations, and white papers.
Basic Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
  2. Bachelor's degree.
  3. Experience in feature delivery and product trade-offs.
  4. Proven track record in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  5. Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  6. Involvement in engineering discussions regarding technology decisions and strategies related to a product.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. MBA and/or advanced degree in engineering or science.
  2. Experience in developing and launching initial consumer products and services; comfort with ambiguity and emerging markets.
  3. Familiarity with robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, machine learning, IoT products, and/or Alexa products.
  4. Experience utilizing rapid prototyping and other innovative methods to gather direct customer feedback throughout the product development process.
  5. A passion for delving into complex technical subjects with engineers and scientists while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  6. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders.
  7. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; capability to utilize data and metrics to support assumptions and develop business cases for projects.
