Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Program Manager to lead its efforts in building an Ad Technology suite.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing mechanisms that ship features successfully, working with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and other teams to plan what their contributions to features will be, tracking progress of those, and identifying how to streamline all of the above.

The successful candidate will have a strong record of delivering results timely and effectively, with experience managing complex global programs in large, multi-national, preferably tech organizations. They will also have broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, sales strategy experience, and a background in digital advertising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations to develop and deploy a comprehensive program portfolio strategy, aimed at shortening the planning cycle and paving the way for continuous iteration and improvement of programs.
  • Lead team functioning as primary interface and communication hub for Strategic Sales Initiatives (strategy, operating model and areas of improvement).
  • Identify and explore opportunities to use automation, machine learning and other technologies to improve the creation and implementation of go to market models.
  • Lead the development, implementation and execution of process improvement initiatives, including identification of business process gaps, impact assessment, and recommendations.
  • Represent business needs in the development of technical roadmaps, priorities and requirements, ensuring support of business need in the near and long term.
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to identify technology dependencies and handoffs, and partner with technology teams to ensure seamless flow of data and functionality need to support the process end to end.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
