Tier II Customer Service is the designated escalation point for Valvoline customers and supply chain.

Tier II manages customer escalations and concerns with a scope of delivery shortages, inventory errors, sourcing issues, improper delivery procedures, and EH&S issues.

The role will build strong relationships with internal and external supply chain stakeholders, as well as third-party distributors comprising the Valvoline supply chain network.

Tier II is the external face of the supply chain as it flows from Valvoline to our customers every day and ensures efficacious relationships with Valvoline Global Operations.

How You'll Make an Impact

We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert.

In the role, you would be responsible for:
Monitor real-time case queue to provide customer service and support for Valvoline installer channel customers.

Resolve customer escalations related to delivery performance (on-time) and order accuracy (in-full)

Manage and respond to cases outside of Tier I customer service scope related to distributors, EH&S (oil spills), and other miscellaneous issues affecting the customer by the Valvoline supply chain

Input and communicate direct ship orders directly from supplier to customer in order to rectify inventory and delivery issues caused by direct market short-ship, distributor stocking, order error, or other external factors


Provide internal Valvoline Sales and external distributor support for customer setup and integration in the form of store tank setup, backorder reports, open order reports, and stocking decisions.


Provide feedback to Tier II manager on case entry process and improving utilization of case queue to evaluate trends and recommend improvements.

Conducting root cause analysis of Valvoline's supply chain and collaborating both internally and externally to strengthen our supply chain.

What You'll Need

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain areas such as Customer Service, Operations, Planning, Logistics, or Purchasing

SAP or Salesforce work experience

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
