Position Overview:
As a Supply Chain Logistics Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating logistics operations in alignment with customer requirements and program objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring efficient logistics support for the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align logistics needs with operational capabilities.
- Oversee customer logistics functions including receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of materials.
- Integrate with the Logistics Management Program Team to translate customer needs into actionable plans within the operational framework.
- Manage requisitions and inventory tasks across multiple functional organizations, ensuring compliance with supply obligations.
- Conduct thorough analyses and prepare detailed reports to monitor expenditures and validate logistics processes.
- Proactively plan and execute daily logistics activities, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices.
- Utilize Department of Defense (DoD) systems and navigate through various Inventory Management Systems such as GOLDesp, DPAS, and SAP.
- Familiarize yourself with DoD cataloging processes and logistics terminology, interpreting technical documents and manuals as necessary.
Logistical Support Coordination:
- Provide lifecycle sustainment management by scheduling shipments and ensuring proper documentation for both domestic and international logistics.
- Monitor material movement and facilitate property transfers, addressing discrepancies as they arise.
- Manage incoming materials and assist with purchase requests, ensuring seamless operations throughout the logistics chain.
- Oversee the Repair and Return process for equipment, ensuring all items are processed efficiently.
- Coordinate the application of Unique Identification (UID) labels to equipment and kits as required.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work effectively with the Program Management Office (PMO) and internal teams to resolve issues and provide guidance.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with DoD logistics systems and terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software programs for document creation and data analysis.
- Experience in database techniques for querying and analyzing data from diverse sources.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Attributes:
- Previous experience with the Department of Defense and Special Operations Forces (SOF) community.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a self-motivated work ethic.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and DoD supply chain processes.
Security Clearance:
- This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens.
