JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all operations and service teams in their designated region. With a focus on efficiency, quality, and timely execution, this position ensures that daily operational tasks are carried out meticulously. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the General Manager supervises warehouse associates and route sales representatives to guarantee smooth operations, manage special initiatives, and uphold facility standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead regional operations to meet cost and performance targets while providing exceptional service to stores.

  • Create strategies to enhance service quality and cost efficiency continuously.
  • Address operational issues and implement new policies and procedures for improved productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Enhance inventory accuracy and minimize loss prevention.
  • Facilitate effective communication between routing and warehouse teams for seamless operations.

  • Achieve financial goals within the assigned area.
  • Supervise employee scheduling, timesheets, and hiring processes.
  • Conduct quality checks on Route Sales Representatives to uphold service standards.

  • Train and mentor employees, monitor performance, and promote a collaborative work culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety practices, and regulations.
  • Promote associate engagement and continuous improvement within the facility.

  • Manage staffing within budget requirements, including hiring and termination decisions.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Possess a 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent managerial coaching and development abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Capable of achieving results in a high-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and technological proficiency.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for independent travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. independently.
  • Potential for extended periods of desk work and computer usage.
  • Willingness to assist with warehouse tasks and work in the field as needed.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Directly reports to the VP of Operations
