As the Cloud Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the new Cloud environment for Solvay as well as the existing on premise ecosystem .

This is a unique opportunity to architect and shape the future of our cloud infrastructure.

Accountabilities and responsibilities:
Contributing to continuous automation and optimization
Optimizing of usage of Cloud resources
Scaling App services and database
Monitoring Application - System and troubleshooting issues
Managing cloud infrastructure, from the design/validation to the implementation with infrastructure as a code (IaC)
Designing and building automation frameworks (CI/CD, DevSecOps, Test Automation)
Designing and managing monitoring and logging tools
Mentoring DevOps culture within the software center including external partners
Participating fully in establishing and driving organizational processes/initiatives, i.e. the adoption of ITSM process (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset & Configuration, Continuity, Security, Financial, ...).
Supporting the cloud architect in de-risking the solution architecture through spikes and investigations

Overseeing the delivery and operation of cloud platforms and services, ensuring they are robust, agile, and capable of supporting a wide range of technological innovations.

Administering cloud network best practices across platforms like Azure and AWS, focusing on routing, load balancing, network isolation, and security.

Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using G various tools, enhancing continuous integration and deployment processes.

DevSecOps Practices:

Advocate for and implement DevSecOps approaches, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant infrastructure management, including handling certificates, security scanning, and single sign-on solutions.


Experience, skills and behaviours:
Indicate the required education in terms of minimum years of education, required type of degree, field of studies, etc. and the required knowledge and/or experience in terms of minimum years of experience in the respective field
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a leadership and technical role focused on Cloud management, preferably in a multinational complex setting.

Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing Cloud strategies for large user bases.

Cybersecurity Expertise:
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks.
Knowledge of encryption, identity management, access controls, and other security measures within cloud environments.
Experience in managing complex technology migrations and lifecycle management.
Project management skills to plan and execute cloud-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Agile or other project management methodologies experience is a plus
Working knowledge of infrastructure as a code principles, practices and tools (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
Strong proficiency in designing, validating and implementing Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure)
Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles, practices and tools (e.g. Jenkins)
Working knowledge of containers and orchestrations (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cloud networking and security patterns
Experience with code versioning systems such as Git, CI/CD frameworks and scripting languages (bash, Python, Typescript)
