Role & Responsibility:

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

  • The analyst executes day-to-day payroll processing and all related transactions for multi-state operations, understands payroll laws and is responsible for helping to audit payroll records for a high volume of team members. This includes interpretation of union contract requirements and knowledge of company operations.
  • Process weekly Pay inputs ensuring proper records and support are maintained including but not limited to tips and miscellaneous deductions using various analytic tools and technologies.
  • Analyze Payroll data to identify variances, errors, and anomalies.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Field questions from the business regarding payroll entries, analyze results and then report back to the business supporting applicable SLA's.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, and other business partners, to build and maintain relationships to effectively carryout business objectives.
  • Recommend process improvements ensuring documentation of processes and controls.
  • Ability to research and solve complex day to day situations with minimal supervision.

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

  • AA Degree preferred, ideally BA. Experience may substitute for degree.
  • FPC or CPP certification or desire to obtain a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant payroll function with a large company
  • Previous experience with Workday and UKG time tracking strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Demonstrated experience performing payroll reconciliations and analysis.
  • Previous customer service experience utilizing CRM tools.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to negotiate positive resolutions with customers and peers.
  • Proficient working with multiple systems and tools to perform job functions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
