The Senior Financial Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in the formulation of quantitative and analytical frameworks that support the organization's strategies for managing interest rate and liquidity risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantitative and analytical frameworks to enhance the firm's interest rate and liquidity risk management strategies.
- Oversee the creation and reporting of asset-liability scenarios and models, including cash flow models and liquidity and capital stress tests.
- Engage in the administration of Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Swaps, Securities, and Borrowing transactions.
- Lead documentation efforts for Model Risk Management Models and Tools, ensuring timely remediation of any findings.
- Manage requests from Regulatory bodies, Auditors, and Compliance teams.
- Ensure adherence to third-party vendor management protocols, maintaining data integrity and documentation standards.
- Align operations with Northwest's risk appetite.
- Contribute to the budgeting process, particularly in generating net interest income.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports.
- Compile various footnotes and schedules for mandatory quarterly and annual reports.
- Support the Finance Transformation Initiative utilizing Workday ERP.
- Propose strategies for enhancing profitability and improving operational procedures.
- Minimize non-payroll expenses within the department.
- Develop and maintain customer service standards.
- Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Maximize the use of available technology tools.
- Effectively manage personal workload and workflow.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Banking.
Experience
- 8 years of relevant risk analytical experience in the financial services sector.
- 8 years of experience with fixed income securities, derivatives, or stress testing.
