Job Summary:

The Star Tribune's Human Resources team is seeking a seasoned and strategic Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the full cycle recruitment process, from managing partnerships, sourcing, and attracting top-tier candidates to conducting interviews and negotiating offers, to owning the hiring and onboarding process. This role requires a high level of professionalism, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of talent acquisition strategies.

You Will:

  • Oversee the full cycle recruitment process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods (e.g., social media, job boards, networking, referrals) to attract qualified candidates.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the candidate experience from initial contact to offer acceptance, ensuring a positive and efficient process.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and selection decisions.
  • Negotiate salary offers and manage the offer process through to acceptance and onboarding.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve our recruitment processes.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the Star Tribune and promote our employer brand to attract top talent.
  • Manage strategic recruiting partnerships and contracts.
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on sourcing and attracting top talent.
  • Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various levels and functions.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with UKG Applicant Tracking System, UKG Onboarding Gateway, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruitment tools.
