Position Overview:

Role: Account Manager

Reporting to: District Sales Manager

As an Account Manager, you will drive sales growth in a specific region or industry vertical through strategic sales initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and respond to customer needs effectively
  • Stay informed about market trends and leverage resources to address evolving customer requirements
  • Manage inventory tasks to enhance customer relationships and boost sales
  • Utilize Grainger's Value Proposition to drive profitable sales
  • Develop account penetration strategies and conduct regular business reviews
  • Maintain accurate customer activity records in the CRM system
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct outside sales experience
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and strategic planning
  • Willingness to travel to customers within the assigned market regularly
  • Strong process discipline and market revenue growth mindset
  • Ability to address customer objections and provide suitable solutions
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
