Summary of Duties of The Village Program Clinical Manager
The Village Program Clinical Manager, with an LPN preference, acts as the clinical leader overseeing the Memory Care neighborhood (Village Program).
Responsibilities include coordinating resident care, assigning tasks to Resident Care Assistants (RCAs) and Medication Technicians (MTs), and monitoring the overall functioning of the Memory Care neighborhood.
Additionally, the Village Program Clinical Manager is entrusted with resident clinical and care decisions in the absence of the Executive Director and Wellness Director, reporting directly to the Wellness Director.
Essential Functions of The Village Program Clinical Manager
- Ensures the Village Program philosophy guides all activities and care for residents.
- Plans and delegates work assignments to guarantee effective shift coverage.
- Participates in and supervises the delivery of personal care to residents.
- Maintains open communication with resident families.
- Implements service plans and monitors residents' health status.
- Acts as a team leader in memory care, providing guidance and counseling to staff.
- Administers medications and conducts audits.
- Responds to emergencies promptly.
- Participates in an on-call rotation for staffing needs.
- Orients and trains new associates.
- Monitors resident charts and caregiver response systems.
- Ensures staff compliance with education and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions
- Participates in the Village Program activities program.
- Attends staff and required meetings.
- Demonstrates an understanding of resident values and the aging process.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
- Must hold a nursing license or be certified to administer medications.
- Minimum of two years of experience with supervision preferred.
- Prior experience in Assisted Living and/or Memory Care required.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in English language skills.
- Good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
- Completion of required screenings and background checks.
