The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse Supervisor, and/or Practice/Office Manager. This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can recognize patient needs and symptoms in advance, providing care that meets the highest standards of the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams and assist during treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient care experience.
- Coordinate tests and follow-up care, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with healthcare teams.
- Assist with patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
- Demonstrate competency and skills to serve patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric populations.
- Participate in shared decision-making groups and committees, contributing to evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives.
- Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
