Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Wellstar Health System plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Acworth Health Park facility. As a member of our healthcare team, you will work under the direction of physicians, nurse supervisors, and practice managers to provide exceptional care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care as directed by providers, including preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, and recording treatment in medical records.
  • Assist with patient and family education, promoting health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in shared decision-making groups and committees to advance evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to financial viability through service quality and clinical excellence.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
  • Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
