AR/Cash Apps Speclaist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a AR/Cash Apps Speclaist for a 3+ month contract to hire role.Position Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing, tracking and recording revenue, as well as processing and posting cash receipts to appropriate accounts receivable account and the general ledger. This position is also responsible for maintaining reports for collection purposes, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and ensuring that the organization is meeting compliance requirements in conjunction with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.Essential Functions:- Processes billing for program areas through each funder's electronic portal within established timeframes
- Processes medical billing claims in connection with Medicaid and private insurance requirements
- Oversees the collection process through following up with funders on unbillables, rejected/denied claims, recoups and unpaid claims in a timely manner
- Enters accounts receivable transactions into the accounting system and reconciles information with billed services in the funder's portal and EHR system
- Maintains and distributes accounts receivable reports
- Processes payments received for organizational services, grants and donations, and reconciles payments to daily bank deposit log; Provides and maintains all backup information for payments received
- Applies payments to customer accounts in the accounting system in an accurate and timely manner; Creates new accounts in system as needed
- Researches and resolves payment discrepancies to ensure accounts receivable balances are accurately reported
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent and at least 2 years of accounts receivable/medical billing experience required
- Previous experience working with an EHR system preferred
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Office suite and intermediate-level knowledge of Excel
- Must have current driver's license and proof of insurance
- Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications
- Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of internal controls required to accurately account for transactions to the general ledger
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills and responds promptly to requests
- Adaptability & Initiative: Adapts to changes in the work environment and prioritizes activities to manage work responsibilities
- Communications: Communicates and exchanges accurate information through a variety of methods
- Dependability: Executes job duties within specified timeframes in order to meet agency objectives
- Job Knowledge & Quality: Maintains knowledge related to job responsibilities and ensures that output meets or exceeds established standards
- Judgment & Problem Solving: Exhibits sound decision-making skills and includes other staff in decision making when appropriate

- Work is performed in an office environment
- This job utilizes office equipment and computer/electronic devices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
