Summary

The Sanitation Equipment Operator will operate a rear-end loading sanitation vehicle to collect waste and debris, and may lead a crew.

Hours: 6:30am - Until Complete

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Operating a sanitation vehicle to collect waste including trash, yard debris, recycling, and more. Daily equipment inspection for safety Manual labor tasks like lifting containers and working outdoors in all weather conditions May lead a crew of two or more

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Obtain City's driver permit Experience with heavy equipment Knowledge of traffic laws, safety precautions, and equipment operation Ability to lift 100 lbs. Reading maps and following driving routes Following instructions Flexibility with shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays Valid Class A or B CDL

Preferred Qualification

Previous manual labor experience

Minimum Qualifications

Three years related work experience

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent with one year related work experience

AND

Required: CDL
