Description: Seeking a Battery Technician with expertise in battery assembly and/or research and development laboratory practices to engage in battery construction, assembly, and testing activities.
- Seeking individuals excited to contribute to cutting-edge technologies that can accelerate the adoption of clean energy and combat climate change.
- Conduct in-house battery fabrication and testing at Coreshell.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
- Execute coating processes using Coreshell's specialized automated platforms. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper application of coatings to battery materials.
- Characterize cells and battery materials in collaboration with the research and development team, utilizing electrochemical and materials analytical techniques.
- Perform post-test cell analysis by disassembling cells and conducting physical, compositional, and electrochemical assessments as directed by engineers and scientists.
- Participate in Coreshell's cell testing and validation program, including meticulous experimental documentation and data management.
- Manage inventory of lab chemicals and consumables.
- Adhere to and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Proficient in executing precise and dexterous manual tasks.
- Prior experience in research and development laboratory settings is essential. Familiarity with working in controlled-atmosphere gloveboxes is advantageous.
- Experience in lithium-ion battery fabrication is a bonus.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented candidates with a track record of problem-solving and versatility.
- Knowledge of chemistry lab safety protocols. Strong commitment to maintaining safe, organized work environments.
- Previous experience with electrical testing, as well as chemistry and materials analysis equipment, is beneficial.
Location & Benefits: San Leandro, CA. Full-time position offering an hourly rate of $50.00 with additional stock incentives based on experience. The role will transition to a swing shift after initial training (starting with a 9-5 schedule). Comprehensive benefits package including dental, vision, healthcare, and 401(k).
