The Enterprise Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving the company's revenue growth through strategic planning, team leadership, client relationship management, and effective sales operations, particularly when dealing with our larger, more complex accounts. Emphasis will be on prospecting and development of new business, closing on enterprise sales, and ensuring the sales team and account management teams are well versed in sales processes with enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Establish ambitious yet achievable sales targets and ensure that the team is on track to meet these goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients at various levels, including senior executives, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns clients may have, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track the progression of leads through the sales cycle and track sales activities and client interactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the ever-changing freight industry, market rates, and company product offerings to equip the sales team with the necessary tools to effectively sell our brokerage services.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, maximizing profitability during negotiations with enterprise clients.
  • Ensure deals are closed efficiently and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Work closely with other key departments, communicating effectively on market development to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Experience/Education:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelors Degree in logistics or business related field required.
  • Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.
  • Above average proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics/transportation with focus on business development and P/L management required.
  • 5+ years of experience with progressive professional growth required.
  • Freight brokerage or account management experience preferred.
  • Transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations preferred.
  • Book of business (truck base or customer base) preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and organized.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
