Job Overview

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing hardware and software support to desktops, Wyse terminals, and laptop workstations for a large-scale healthcare provider. Along with daily troubleshooting and problem resolution, the Desktop Analyst role will be assisting with departmental projects, rollouts, and PC installations.

In this role, you will

  • Provides technical support on the operation or maintenance of system equipment.
  • Manages desktop systems to meet expectations for quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
  • Performs desktop hardware services and repairs.
  • Interfaces with the customer to facilitate support resolution.
  • Will be supporting the main facility along with off-site locations within the area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

For this role, you will need

  • Strong technical aptitude in break-fix for hardware, software (Windows 7, 8, and MAC), and peripherals.
  • Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently, and quickly, and function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enterprising attitude and strong interpersonal skills to establish positive working relationships, and collaborate across organizational lines.
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance and prioritize individual desktop workload for the day.
  • Knowledge to rebuild and reformat computers. Familiarity with troubleshooting Windows XP/Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers with varying skill levels.
