NSI is searching for a Journeyman Financial Analyst to provide support to the PMA 265 PSMI Program Office. The selected candidate will be responsible for offering Budgetary Financial Management support.

Utilize all relevant modules and reports within Navy ERP to aid in the planning, budgeting, funding, execution, and monitoring/enhancement processes essential to achieve the financial goals of the logistics program.

In close collaboration with the Product Support Manager (PSM), PSTLs, and IPT Leads, gather APN-5 requirements, refine APN-5 cost estimates, and establish/maintain APN-5 spend plans.

Engage in IPT, Class Desk, APML, and Configuration Management meetings, working closely with various Field Activities, Military, and Civilian individuals of all ranks to identify and document APN-5 funding needs, ensuring that the APN-5 spend plan accurately reflects approved OSIP requirements.

- Collect, analyze, and compile detailed APN-5 budget and cost information to respond to data inquiries.- Collaborate daily with Program Office IPT members to support APN-5 BFM in resolving funding challenges and managing emerging needs.- Reconcile APN-5 financial accounts, prepare, coordinate, and facilitate monthly financial reviews for PSM/APML. Generate customized reports in Navy ERP and CSPT as necessary for the Budget/Financial Manager and IPT Leads for financial reviews and tracking financial obligations and expenditures.- Oversee the APN-5 spend plan, monitor commitments, obligations, and expenditures.- Reconcile and report on the financial status of prior year and current year APN-5 funding.- Draft APN-5 funding documents and monitor their status from creation to expenditure, collaborating with Field Activities to address execution inconsistencies.

Education:
BS or BA degree preferred.

Allowable Substitution:

AA/AS degree with an additional four (4) years of experience OR a high school diploma/GED and an additional eight (8) years of experience.


Experience:

At least four (4) years of financial management experience, including two (2) years of DoN experience in financial management related to acquisition and sustainment logistics. Proficiency in Navy ERP, CSPT, and PMT Government IT Systems is highly advantageous.


Desirable Expertise:

Proficiency in the Microsoft Professional Office Suite, encompassing Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication abilities; capacity to read, write, and review technical documents and reports; ability to monitor and report on task status, assess existing business processes, identify/document process issues, and suggest improvement initiatives; adept at building teams and establishing a well-integrated network of team members necessary for successful task execution.
