The Central Operations Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in the overall transaction monitoring processes within the Central Operations Support Team. Responsible for the centralized review of key transactions to ensure branch compliance with key operating policies and procedures. The Central Operations Support objective therefore is to gauge, a branchs consistent adherence to key operating policies and aid in identifying branch-specific and/or thematic issues arising from non-compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct reviews of key transactions performed by our branches in order to provide senior management with reasonable assurances that key bank floor operating procedures are complied with on a consistent basis.
Verify that transactions are performed in line with current policies and procedures, report exceptions and validate remediation.
Assist in reporting transaction monitoring outcomes to the Branch Support Services Coordinator.
Maintain all applicable monthly transaction files by downloading key files from platforms such as ODIN or other platforms such URSA; integrating and appending the data into MS Excel files used to source the Transaction Monitoring Templates,
Provide commensurate support to other departmental obligations when necessary (which could include Lease Security Processing, Estate Settlement/Legal Process and other Branch Banking Support Services).
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or proven, equivalent experience.
2-4 years of relevant experience required.
Demonstrates working knowledge of organizational strategies and culture.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Capable of multi-tasking.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurrent deadlines.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and data entry skills.
Team oriented.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and other necessary Bank systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must demonstrate sound judgement, adhere to professional standards and exercise strict confidentiality in matters requiring discretion.
