Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Compliance Manager at TransPecos Banks. As the Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing risk management and ensuring compliance with federal and state banking laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with management to establish a culture of compliance best practices aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational values.
- Develop, implement, and administer bank programs to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
- Research and review federal and state banking laws to guarantee institution compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in compliance and minimize risks.
- Advise on compliance topics and assist with due diligence and monitoring plans.
- Conduct marketing reviews and oversee compliance-related documentation.
- Manage the bank's complaint program and ensure prompt resolutions.
- Lead policy and procedure development and implementation.
- Improve internal and external compliance audit findings consistently.
- Manage regulatory change, loan data integrity, complaints process, and advertising reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related Field required.
- Master's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a compliance officer in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of consumer regulatory compliance regulations, financial institution policies, and government regulations.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships and respond effectively to inquiries.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (5 to 10% travel).
- CRCM Certification and over 7 years in banking operations, compliance, or risk management desired.
