The Role

Requirements:


Process Design and Optimization:
Design and develop manufacturing processes fora variety of products andpackagesapplications.Continuouslyoptimizeand improve existing processes for increased efficiency, yield,safetyand quality.Work with cross functional teams toestablishand launch new concepts across theenterprise.
Deliver ongoing training to sites on applications, quality improvements and efficiency.

Equipmentand ScheduleManagement:
Evaluate and sourcestrategic automatedsolutionsfor processing and packaging.Select andmaintaintheappropriate automatedmanufacturing equipment and machinery per market.Deliver start-up management excellence to selected project efforts.
Maintain and communicate project schedule and milestones to keystakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams toidentifyand execute process improvement projects.
Quality Control:
Work with QA team to implement quality control procedures to ensure required standards and regulationsare met.
Identifyand address quality issues promptly, implementing correctiveactionsas necessary.?Recurring audits of quality through the eyes of the client across all sites?
Compliance and Regulation:
Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations governing production requirements.
Work with regional compliance to ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to compliance standards, including safety and quality regulations.Work directly with site compliance team to assess risk for projectsimpactingequipment that is regulated bystate.

Cost Control and Finance:
Manage production costs byoptimizingresourceutilization, minimizing waste, and reducing production downtime.Develop project justification for new capital, manage capital project budget, and audit equipment/process integration to ensure metrics are met.?Gain approval from Senior Leadership Team on projects requiring capital spend.

Training and Documentation:
Train and supervise production staff on proper manufacturing procedures.Maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and changes for compliance and quality assurance.?Implement safety protocols to protect employees and the environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree inEngineeringor related fieldand4+ years managing professional Operations and Engineering efforts?Previousexperience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in the cannabis,foodor beverage industries.?Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAble to diagnose complex technical systems and develop simple human-machine interface and training solutions foroptimaloperations.
Highly motivated, self-directed,innovativeand able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, commonsenseandresourcefulness.

Requirements:

Active driver's license or State ID card.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Must pass any and all required background checks.
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
Must be approved by the regulatory agency, if required, and maintain compliance with any employee badging process.

Travel:
Up to 60%

Working Conditions:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Physical demands – May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (200 pounds with assistance).
Extended periods of sitting and computer work.

This is a GMP facility and the Employee Hygiene and Personal Effects Policy must be followed, which prohibits wearing/having false eyelashes/eyelash extensions, false/long fingernails, fingernail polish/art, hairpins, non-permanent jewelry (permanent means it can only be removed surgically), and other items that may fall off.

Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
