JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineer III will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, implementation, and management of integrated production and service delivery systems. This position is crucial for ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, adherence to schedules, and effective cost management within the production environment.
The primary objectives for the Industrial Engineer III include enhancing profitability, operational effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the ongoing improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a project leader, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at waste elimination through established Industrial Engineering methodologies. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting Complex Process Simulations, Operations Research, and Business Model Cost Analysis.
- Verifying time standards developed by the Industrial Engineering team.
- Updating and reporting key Industrial Engineering metrics for designated customers or areas.
- Facilitating key process mapping activities within assigned customer or area.
- Driving the standardization of SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations.
- Preparing project quotes for proposed initiatives within the assigned customer or area.
- Leading process-related activities for New Product Introductions.
- Coaching, mentoring, and training engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
- Supporting and/or maintaining all essential duties and responsibilities at lower levels of Industrial Engineering.
- Ensuring the standardization of Jabil processes across the site in alignment with global, regional, and site directives.
- Contributing to the Lean organization by establishing a robust process foundation and ensuring data integrity to support organizational process improvements.
- Adhering to all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
A comprehensive understanding and application of a wide range of industrial engineering tools, including work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, and operations research.
Awareness of Jabil's global strategies and direction.
Familiarity with the site's facilities and capabilities and their alignment with Jabil's strategic objectives.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
A proven track record of successful change management, implementation, and management of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills are essential.
