Job Purpose/Duties: What are we looking for?

Overall responsibility for pumping chemical tanks, clean tanks and equipment, make chemical additions, change filters, clean floors, and ensures that chemical maintenance equipment is in proper working order. Limited Wastewater Pretreatment System duties such as, filter changes and equipment cleaning.

We need you to show up every day, as scheduled. You must be able to read/write/speak English. High school degree preferred. Must be able to stand, twist, lift, pinch, walk, bend, kneel as needed. Basic computer entry skills preferred. Ability to follow written instructions. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment. in time. Every employee plays an important role in our success. The working conditions would be similar to that of a warehouse or manufacturing industry - with exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and noise. Minimum Requirements:

  • Show up EVERY day. (Attendance is CRUCIAL)
  • Pass Basic math and finding measurements on a ruler test (IMPORTANT)
  • Attention to detail is CRITICAL
  • Can work independently and as a team
  • Willing to take direction, follow procedures, and learn
  • Ability to stand, reach, bend, and have hand dexterity for long periods of time.
  • Follow safety procedures to avoid injuries.
  • Can fluently speak, understand, read, and write English.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good communicator, active listener, and decision-making skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to give and receive clear instructions

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Perform chemical additions to process tanks per written procedures
  • Tank change outs and tank additions as required
  • Maintain material and chemical inventory and assist with month-end physical inventory
  • Maintain chemical filtration systems for production lines
  • Maintain chemical maintenance equipment in proper working order
  • Observe all Company safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • General housekeeping of chemical maintenance areas
  • Required PPE worn for the appropriate task
  • Conduct handling and mixing of chemicals according to procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Working knowledge of pumps, filters, measuring chemicals, weighing chemicals, tank location, and production line location
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and work independently without direction from management

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional exposure from physical and health hazards due to machinery noise, dust, mist/steam/vapors, hot and humid atmosphere, moving machinery and use of PPE
  • Exposure to corrosives, toxic, and oxidizing chemicals. PPE worn for the appropriate task and level of protection required such as gloves, goggles, face shield, rubber boots, hardhat, apron, coat, and/or Tyvek coveralls

Equipment Used:

  • Required safety equipment worn for the appropriate task- gloves, goggles, face shield, rubber boots, hard hat, apron, coat and/or Tyvek coveralls
  • Pumps, hoses and buckets to maintain fluid levels and make required chemical additions to process tanks
  • Air and mechanical pumps for transferring chemicals
  • Measuring equipment for ensuring proper chemical add volumes and weights
  • Forklift, dolly, and drum jack
  • Log books and add sheets for documentation of chemical additions and transfers
  • SDS sheets for proper safe handling of chemicals

Minimum Education & Preferences:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • 2 or more years industry experience - preferred
  • Forklift certified or willing to be certified
  • CEF certification helpful

1st Shift: 6am-2pm M-F + OT as needed


Pay: $26 +/hr DOQ up to $36 with 10 years experience

(reviews in 60 days and 6 months, then twice a year, that may come with a rate increase providing the employee is meeting company and performance standards).

Signing Bonus: $1500 (current employees are not eligible for signing bonus)
