Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at a chemical distribution facility in Minneapolis, MN. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of systems and components
  • Perform general facility and equipment repairs, including pipe fitting, pump repair, HVAC, compressors, pump operations, tank inspections, and sprinkler systems
  • Provide feedback to engineers to improve equipment design and modify existing equipment
  • Respond to trouble calls and make repairs as needed
  • Direct the work of 3rd party contractors/vendors
  • Snow removal and salting of driveways and entryways
  • Available for on-call emergencies
Work Environment

Our client is a chemical distribution facility in Minneapolis, MN. The individual in this position must be comfortable working around chemicals and following strict safety guidelines. This position may require exposure to heights, so a fear of heights would disqualify a candidate.

Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate ($30+/hr depending on experience)
  • 1st shift schedule (8:00am - 4:30pm or 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
  • 40-46 hours per week typically
  • May be on call and require some Saturday work for special projects
