Child and Youth Program Assistant Position at Armed Services YMCA

  • Responsible for providing supervised childcare and instruction for children and youth ages 4 to 12
  • Ensures safety, accountability, and well-being of participants
  • Implements planned activities meeting participants' needs
  • Interacts professionally with parents, colleagues, and volunteers
  • Complies with health, safety, and compliance regulations

Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pass background and reference checks
  • Must meet county, state, or federal employment requirements
  • Experience working with children and youth preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification required

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Requires considerable walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds

No special physical demands in a classroom or activity setting

Work environment involves typical child and youth activities, programs, and services

Job Type: Part-time
