Job Summary

The Butterfly Academy seeks a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Professional to support our teaching staff in creating a nurturing and safe environment for our young students. As a key member of our team, you will assist in implementing a high-quality educational program and develop positive relationships with children and their parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curricula activities that promote children's interests and learning.
  • Engage with children in activities, maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates and progress reports.
  • Model good hygiene and self-help skills, and support children in developing these habits.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for children from home to the child care center.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of our program.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in professional childcare.
  • High energy and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to pass a full background check.
  • Physical ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and availability for part-time or full-time work.
  • Experience working with children from infancy to kindergarten age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in Shaken Baby Syndrome and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and a natural affinity for working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
  • Nurturing and responsible approach to childcare.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
