POSITION SUMMARY

The Preschool Education Facilitator will oversee the Operation Little Learners initiative, aimed at fostering strong connections between parents and their children. This program is designed to equip parents with the necessary skills to nurture and educate their young ones effectively. The Preschool Education Facilitator will promote social interactions among mothers and their children of similar ages while successfully developing and implementing a comprehensive preschool curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and execution of a robust child development program tailored to meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of each child, aligned with established goals and curriculum plans.
  • Review and implement daily schedules and activity plans, organizing play areas and materials to support the daily agenda. Set up engaging displays and bulletin boards.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, absentees, and emergency contacts for each child.

Essential Duties:

  • Foster a welcoming and engaging environment for children, ensuring their safety and hygiene through vigilant supervision and proper arrangement of the space and equipment.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions, prepared to coordinate, research, and share resources with fellow educators.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to create a monthly activity calendar to be submitted ahead of schedule.
  • Conduct appropriate play and educational activities to enhance both individual and group development, leading children in songs, games, and other engaging activities.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding program information.

Required Certifications:

  • Completion of mandatory ASYMCA safety training.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Valid child abuse history clearance.
  • Successful completion of State Police Criminal Record Check and F.B.I. fingerprint screening, with results required at the time of hiring.

Work Environment:

The work setting is typically a classroom environment, with potential outdoor activities for children. The noise level is generally moderate.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma.

- 1-3 years of experience in teaching preschool-aged children or related educational roles is required.

- Effective communication skills with children and parents are essential.

- Strong interpersonal abilities to identify and manage various childcare situations, with a focus on conflict resolution in a professional and constructive manner.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in report writing and lesson planning.

- Demonstrated capability to multitask and meet deadlines.
