This position will start after June 1st.

Hours:
We are a 24-hour Recovery Center, and we offer three shift options to accommodate your schedule:
  • Day Shift (1st Shift): 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
  • Evening Shift (2nd Shift): 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
  • Overnight Shift (3rd Shift): 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

Please note that you will be assigned to one of these shifts, and flexibility to work varying shifts is required.
Location: On-site 790 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.

Pay rate: $40 to 48/hr. (varies according to the candidate's experience).

Job Overview:
The Withdrawal Management Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team who prioritizes client safety. The LVN will provide detox- focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. They are responsible to provide safe, effective and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. The LVN works with the larger nursing and medical team on-site in the provision of MAT therapies. Monitors patient medication use, vital, and other physical signs and symptoms to support client through withdrawal phase of treatment. Liaises with on-call provider, nurse manager, nurse director, and/or medical director as necessary. Triages and provides complex care coordination for all clients.

The Withdrawal Management LVN will:
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality of patients' medical and personal information.
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
  • Provide observation, documentation, and record keeping of client's health status.
  • Be familiar with common detox assessments, CIWA and COWS preferred.
  • Be skilled in time management and crisis intervention.
  • Follow HIPAA standards/laws in all aspects of their duties.
  • Observe clients self-administer medications as prescribed.
  • Receive and present change of shift report as assigned.
  • Adhere to medication management policies and procedures.
  • Notify the Medical Director and Supervisor of any changes in behavior and/or condition.
  • Be able to work within a frequently changing project scope while maintaining overall direction and structured priorities.
  • Enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and reliability at all times.
  • Have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate the integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of interdisciplinary team and independently assume responsibility.
  • Possess proficient knowledge of chemical dependency and psychological disorders (preferred)..
  • Demonstrate knowledge of detoxification protocol and related care including symptoms and medications (preferred).
  • Demonstrate cultural humility and responsiveness as evidenced by an ability to work with a diverse population with empathy and skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Current LVN licensure in the State of California with a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to medication assisted detox protocols.
  • CPR Certified.
  • One year of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting (preferred).
