Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Manager, you will:

  • Oversee daily healthcare operations to ensure that residents' healthcare needs are effectively met.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of residents while ensuring high-quality care as their healthcare requirements evolve.
  • Guarantee consistent quality of resident care and service delivery across all shifts, which may involve stepping into roles such as Caregiver or Medication Technician as needed.
  • Assist in supervising licensed nursing staff, medication technicians, and caregivers, providing ongoing training and education, including classroom sessions and situational training.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure the continuity of medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision or administration within the community.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Care Associate medication skills and perform periodic medication audits in accordance with Brookdale guidelines.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.

Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must possess the necessary education to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) along with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. A valid LPN or LVN license is required.
