Join us on this thrilling journey. State Fund's Enterprise Procurement unit is seeking a Procurement Manager - Complex Contracting who will directly report to the VP of Enterprise Procurement. In this role, you will lead a team of experts responsible for negotiating contracts with our key suppliers. Our Procurement team operates from designated offices in Pleasanton and Sacramento, CA, with occasional travel requirements.Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of specialists in procuring critical products and services ensuring top-notch quality and value
  • Lead intricate contract negotiations to mitigate security and privacy risks
  • Work closely with senior leaders across the organization
  • Effectively communicate the contracting process to senior management and the executive team
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities for the team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with a proven track record of accomplishing department objectives. Experience with direct reports is advantageous.
  • Experienced leader with a successful track record in fostering team engagement and high performance
  • Proficient in procurement fundamentals, contract law, and adept at translating recommendations into business strategies
  • Excellent analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge of third-party risk management programs
