Job Description and Duties

Join us on this thrilling journey. State Fund's Enterprise Procurement unit is seeking a Procurement Manager - Complex Contracting who will directly report to the VP of Enterprise Procurement. In this role, you will lead a team of experts responsible for negotiating contracts with our key suppliers. Our Procurement team operates from designated offices in Pleasanton and Sacramento, CA, with occasional travel requirements.Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of specialists in procuring critical products and services ensuring top-notch quality and value
- Lead intricate contract negotiations to mitigate security and privacy risks
- Work closely with senior leaders across the organization
- Effectively communicate the contracting process to senior management and the executive team
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities for the team
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with a proven track record of accomplishing department objectives. Experience with direct reports is advantageous.
- Experienced leader with a successful track record in fostering team engagement and high performance
- Proficient in procurement fundamentals, contract law, and adept at translating recommendations into business strategies
- Excellent analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
- Practical knowledge of third-party risk management programs
New candidates will be placed at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate salary range if applicable. Assignment to an alternate salary range may be based on education or experience highlighted in your application.
Working Conditions
Telecommuting options may be available and are subject to change based on State Fund protocols and business needs. Candidates must be California residents to qualify for this position.
