We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse II to join our team at Alameda Health System. As a Staff Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and other essential patient care activities.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Minimum of six months of experience as a Registered Nurse I with Alameda Health System or equivalent experience at a comparable level in a minimum 100-bed hospital.
- ED or CCU experience: six months full-time experience.
- OR or PACU experience: one year full-time experience.
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - issued by the American Heart Association for nurses in the Emergency Department, OR, PACU, SSU, CCU or Telemetry.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training for Emergency Department.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification- issued by the AHA American Heart Association for nurses in the Emergency Department.
- CCRN – For Critical Care Registered.
- CEN- Certified Emergency Nurse –For Emergency Department Nurse.
