  • Manage the design process, including verification, qualification, and characterization of prototypes.
  • Document the design process through design reviews, technical documentation, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to launch and support production.
  • Conduct research and development for new and existing technologies.
  • Apply critical thinking to solve engineering problems related to design, manufacturing, and test results.
  • Develop component and assembly concepts, as well as small tools and fixtures for testing and manufacturing.
  • Design according to customer specifications.
  • Provide manufacturing support during production and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass ATF clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or five years of equivalent experience. Candidates with a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering will also be considered.
  • Preferred background in Battery/Chemical Engineering.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks.
  • Must be a hands-on engineering problem solver.
  • Job duties will be divided as 50% Engineering Problem Solving and 50% Design.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Preferred experience with ASME Y14.5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and CNC machining.
