Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and industrial design, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to design problems, considering factors such as risk, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, weight, and cost.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing of designs, identifying and addressing potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our products.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in designing electromechanical products, with a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Proven experience in designing parts using various manufacturing methods, including machining, welding, injection molding, forming, forging, and casting.
- Proficient user of SolidWorks or other comparable CAD software.
- Experience with finite element analysis and tolerance analysis.
- Ability to take 4+ projects from design to production, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Experience designing medical equipment and dynamic systems with electro-mechanical devices is a plus.
