ESS Ground Operations Floor Transition Lead

On our team, you will work will Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. You will be an integral part of the Evolved Strategic Satcom (ESS) Ground Branch to assist the ESS Program Management team as the ESS Ground Operations SME, ensuring the ground ops floor modifications at various sites and transition to ops activities meets program needs. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat. This position will require travel within the US to accommodate client needs, when necessary.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with performing systems engineering, acquisition, or operations in DoD space systems
  • Experience with transitioning space systems from acquisitions to operations within USSF
  • Experience in coordinating with stakeholders and managing stakeholder requirements on complex projects
  • Experience with leading efforts encompassing a diverse and extensive team of contractors, government agencies, acquisitions, and operations to deliver warfighter capability
  • Experience with USSF NC3 operational stakeholders
  • Experience with operational unit needs to include operations, training, and sustainment facilities, environments, and mission accomplishment
  • Ability to integrate complex programmatic and customer needs to support fielding and operational acceptance of new space systems
  • Ability to travel within the US to accommodate client needs
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with military SATCOM systems
  • 2+ years of experience in working with SpOC Delta 8
  • Experience in working with new USSF Integrated Mission Delta and System Delta construct
  • Experience with coordinating the training of operations and maintenance personnel and assessing the operational suitability and readiness of a new space control system
  • Experience with operating military satellites and ground control systems in support of USSF and USSPACECOM missions
  • Experience with performing activities to support building and modifying new satellite operations facilities at SSFB
  • Experience with building and modifying new satellite operations facilities at VSFB
  • Experience with commercial space operations facilities
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
