Vaco is hiring for a Assembly Technician located in Oakland Park, FL. This is an immediate direct hire opening.

Monday – Thursday 6:30 AM - 5 PM available for OT and working on Fridays or even weekends if necessary.

We are seeking someone with previous experience in assembly; working within a high paced environment that will be able to keep a professional communication with our engineering department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions; blueprint specifications; and bill of materials; gathering parts; sub-assemblies; tools; and materials.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Read; interpret; and follow basic blueprints; diagrams; engineering drawings; work orders; bills of materials; work instructions and other documents to accurately assemble products.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Routes; combs; twists; wraps; ties; and attaches wire to terminal points; according to jig board layout; using soldering gun and hand tools.
  • Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies; components; wire harness; and plugs; using ohmmeter; test lights; and other electrical testing instruments.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures; rules; and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by Lead/Manager
Qualifications
  • Must have prior experience with within assembly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work within fast-paced role

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
