The Opportunity

We are actively seeking an Assembly Technician to join our growing Production Team in Lenexa, KS. We are looking for motivated and eager to learn employees to join our state-of-the-art facility. You will be responsible for assembling electronic components and wire harnesses that will help farmers make crucial decisions. You will be responsible for assembling electronic components and wire harnesses that are used in products for Hazard and Grain Bin Monitoring systems that assist farmers in making crucial decisions. Workload may require overtime hours including weekends.

The Team

The role reports directly to the Assembly Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Understands Good Manufacturing Practices and works to meet quality standards and requirements
  • Follows SOPs (work instructions) to assemble products for Hazard and Grain Bin Monitoring systems
  • Reads work orders (or receive oral instructions) to determine work assignments and materials needed
  • Must wear required PPE
  • Lifts raw materials and completed assemblies to be moved
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment in line with company safety standards and 5S principles
  • Uses box knives, screw guns, and heat guns safely
  • Solders components for electronic assembly
  • Meets productivity and utilization requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Hands-on Class 2 micro-electronics soldering experience and proficiency required
  • IPC 10/IPC J-STD soldering training / certification preferred
  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are essential
  • Ability to work with parts and components that are very small
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Strong communicator capable of working independently and as part of a team
