Job Description: As a School Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing valuable support to students with speech and language needs. Working collaboratively with the educational team, you'll help conduct assessments, implement therapy plans, and foster a supportive learning environment for students. Your dedication to helping students reach their full potential will contribute significantly to their academic and social success.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • North Carolina state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting is advantageous

Job Requirements:

  • Assist in conducting assessments and screenings to identify speech and language disorders
  • Support the implementation of individualized therapy plans under the guidance of the SLP
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote effective communication skills in students
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
